STENSTROM

Robert Stenstrom Sr. (84) of West Roxbury, born April 1, 1942, died on April 25, 2026 while at home surrounded by his loving family.
Bob spent over 40 years working for the telephone company where he developed many lifelong friendships.
Bob always looked forward to gathering with his buddies “The Savin Hill Breakfast Club”.
He always felt so fortunate to have the most wonderful neighbors on Buchanan Road.
Bob loved creating family traditions, his favorite of which was a yearly family vacation. This tradition has gathered the family starting with his children and eventually adding all of his grandchildren every summer. This vacation is one Bob and his family have always looked forward to. The family cherished getting away and spending a week together. He would spend a day with his boys golfing, evenings with his children playing cards, and the whole week watching his grandchildren grow up as best friends. He made sure mornings on vacation started with his own rendition of “Oh, What a Beautiful Morning”.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife Kathleen (Walsh) of 55 years, his children Robert Jr. and his wife Danielle of Walpole, Nancy and her husband Sean McInnis of Norwood, Lauren and her husband Charles Meredith of Walpole, Scott and his wife Courtney of Westwood, and Kristen and her husband Kevin Mulcahy of Walpole. Bob is the loving son of the late Margaret J. (Sullivan) and the late Steven H. Ostis
He will be remembered for his love of golf, card games, endless “dad jokes”, and most of all his devotion to his family and friends. His greatest joy in life was being Papa to his 15 grandchildren. His memory will be carried on through those he loved.
Bob proudly served in the United States Army.
