Antoinette “Toni” of West Roxbury, formerly of Jamaica Plain, passed away on August 30, 2026. She was 77 years old.
Antoinette was born and raised in Boston and was an avid Boston sports fan. She loved classic TV and movies, and reading autobiographies about her favorite actors and actresses of that era, especially Humphrey Bogart, Katherine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy. She enjoyed gardening, always making sure her garden had plenty of water, while making sure everyone had plenty of food, as she was a fantastic cook. Chicken parm was her specialty and everyone was a fan. She could often be found wearing one of her fedora hats and she cherished memories of driving her Porsche in California. Above all else, Toni was happiest surrounded by family, especially her grandchildren, whom she referred to as her “Angels.”
Antoinette was the loving mother of Douglas “RJ” Daugherty and his wife Bridget of Norwood. Cherished grandmother, “Nani,” of Rory George and Lily Grace. Dear sister of Napoleon “Nappy” Fonseca of Japan, John Fonseca II of Anaheim, CA, and the late Robert “Bobby” Fonseca. Loving cousin of Rosemary and Richard Bruce of Fairhaven. She is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Visiting Hours on Friday, September 4, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home, 8 Spring St. (at the corner of Centre St.) West Roxbury.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions in Toni’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Interment will be private.
