WALSH

Diane Elizabeth Walsh of West Roxbury passed away on July 7, 2026 after a courageous eight-year battle with breast cancer at the age of 54.
Loving mother of Robert, Thomas, Michael, and Marianne Bryson of West Roxbury; devoted Nana of Hannah Grace Bryson; beloved sister of Annemarie, Thomas, and Aidan of West Roxbury; and cherished aunt of Colleen and John Shea of West Roxbury and Wilmington, respectively. Treasured daughter of the late Thomas F. and Mary A. (Gately) Walsh and the beloved late sister of Maureen Shea, all of West Roxbury. She is also survived by many dear cousins and devoted friends.
Diane’s gift for outrageous storytelling, contagious laughter, and her love for life made everyone around her feel happier. She found silver linings in even the hardest moments and brought comfort and joy to those she loved when they needed it most.
She loved beach days on Cape Cod with family and friends, Saturday morning yard sales, walking her dog at Millennium Park, finding ways to help others, vintage cars, and rock and roll. Diane had a way of making everywhere she went feel like a celebration, and she was always the life of the party – even if it was just while gathered in a living room surrounded by family or while working at Boston City Hall. Her warmth, humor, and unforgettable spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
