West Roxbury Parkway Bridge Replacement update
More work on the way
Travel Impacts
Over the next two weeks, drivers should expect lane narrowing and shifting on the bridge, on West Roxbury Parkway, and at the Belgrade Avenue intersection, as needed. As work impacts sidewalk access, a detour redirecting pedestrians will be in place.
Operations
Over the next two weeks, the Contractor will be working daytime hours (7 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and nighttime hours (9 p.m. – 5:00 a.m.) within the work zone on the roadway. Work will take place Monday through Friday. Daytime activities may include:
Formwork and concrete placement
Dowel and rebar placement
Nighttime work will take place Monday, June 8 and one other night over the next two weeks if needed. Nighttime activities may include:
Rebar placement
Overall Project Status
The Contractor is performing civil work below the bridge.
Travel Tips
Please take care to pay attention to all signage as it is posted. Police details, changes in lane markings, temporary controls such as barriers and traffic cones, signage, and other tools may be used throughout the project to control traffic and create safe work zones within the project limits.
