O’MALLEY

Catherine “Kay” (Antonuccio) O’Malley, of West Roxbury, Mission Hill and Norwood passed peacefully surrounded by family on March 29, 2026.
She is the beloved wife of the late Robert “Jobby” O’Malley married on April 1, 1951. Loving and devoted mother of the late Susan Lawless (Chris) and the late Bobby, Cathy, Michael (Maria), Bea Foley and her late husband Dan, John (Edna), and Stephen (Tricia). Beloved Nonna to Christopher, Catherine, Ian, Caroline, Genevieve, Jillian, Johnny, Hannah and Nicholas. Blessed with two great grandchildren William and Violet.
Kay leaves behind her sister Angie Barry. She was predeceased by her parents Carmela and Pasquale Antonuccio (Patsy the Barber), siblings Joe, Zeno and Bea Fullerton. She leaves many cousins, nieces, nephews here and in Philadelphia.
The love of her life was her husband Jobby and her family—nothing compared not even her superb Italian cooking.
Kay graduated from Mission Church High School (1947). She enjoyed her years with Mission Church Pilate’s Daughter, Mission Church Choir, attending the Mission Parish dances, bowling, ceramics, laundry pro, Bingo pro for 70 years. She also enjoyed Arts/Crafts, painting, knitting, sewing, and was an avid Red Sox and Patriot’s fan. She enjoyed traveling with the MBTA retirees, summers in Popponesset and Century Village snowbirds.
Kay worked for Hogan Plumbing, US Trust and Mission Hill Election Voting polls. After raising her family she was a Lunch Mother for the Boston Schools for 23 years.
Visitation services and funeral provided by the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St. West Roxbury. A Funeral Mass was held at St. John Chrysostom Church. Interment Mt. Benedict Cemetery.
