Devoted father of the late James McDonough and his wife Diane of Hyde Park, John McDonough of Maine, Janet Mahoney of Hyde Park, Joan McDonough of Boston. Loving grandfather of Sean McDonough and his wife Sonia of Wakefield, Tom McDonough of Hyde Park, and Dan McDonough of Hyde Park. Proud great-grandfather of Sadie and Sonny McDonough of Wakefield. Brother to the late Frank McDonough, Margaret “Rita” Egan, Teresa Healy, Molly Murphy, Thomas, Bernard, Robert, John, James, Harry, and Patrick.

Visitation services provided by the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St. West Roxbury. A Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Theresa Church. Interment Mt. Benedict Cemetery.
