Margaret M. "Peggy" (Bane) passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026.

Born to the late John and Margaret (Quinn) Bane, Peggy was the beloved wife of John "Mike" Kelly with whom she shared 56 years of marriage. She was the loving mother of Michael Kelly and his wife, Jessica, of Mansfield, and Richard Kelly and his wife, Michelle, of Woodstock, Georgia. Peggy was the cherished grandmother of Joseph, Matthew, Brendan, Ryan, Bryan, Tim, Patrick, and Sami. She was the dear sister of John Bane and his wife, Kathy, of Norwood; Joseph Bane and his wife, Noel, of Southborough; and James Bane and his wife, Dale, of Allston. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Peggy was raised in Allston, Massachusetts, as the oldest of four children. She later made her home in West Roxbury, where she and Mike lovingly raised their family and built a lifetime of cherished memories together.

For more than 35 years, Peggy dedicated herself to Camp Schodack, a summer camp in Rensselaer County, NY where her hard work, kindness, and unwavering commitment touched the lives of countless families and colleagues.

York Beach, Maine, held a special place in Peggy's heart. Whether relaxing by the ocean, spending time with family, or gathering with lifelong friends, those summers brought her endless joy and created memories she treasured throughout her life.

Above all else, Peggy was devoted to her family. She was a proud and loving wife, mother, and grandmother whose greatest happiness came from supporting those she loved and celebrating their accomplishments. Her warmth, generosity, quiet strength, and unwavering love will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Holy Name Church, 1689 Centre Street, West Roxbury. Interment will be private.
