John C., South Boston, grew up in Roslindale & known to most as “Jack” passed away peacefully Oct. 10, 2026 with his family by his side. Jack was born in August 25, 1948. He leaves behind his longtime girlfriend Colleen and was a loving son to the late Joseph & Evelyn (MacMaster) Pirrello, Jack was the brother to Joseph Pirrello of Woodbury, NY, the late Robert Pirrello of York, PA, the late James Pirrello of Old Orchard Beach, ME, Ronald Pirrello of Canton, MA, Cynthia Meaney of West Roxbury, MA. One of the proudest times in Jack’s life was spending time with & helping to raise now adults Denise Murphy McCarthy, David Murphy, and Daniel Murphy, the children of his long-ago relationship with their late Mom, Marguerite Costa.

Jack also leaves many nieces & nephews & relatives behind.

After joining the US Air Force, Jack became Sgt. during the Vietnam Era: he served as an intercept operator with the 6970th support attached to the National Security Agency; Brindisi, Italy & USAFSS Fort Meade, Maryland.

Jack worked for the Post Office for many years before being diagnosed with his cancer. Before that he had enjoyed working in the hospitality industry as the food and beverage manager at the Sonesta Beach Resort in Key Biscayne, FL.

Jack loved to surf and roller blade before his long battle with cancer.
