James Joseph Moore (1 May1947 – 17 Sept. 2026)

Jim was born to Joseph and Laura Moore of Hyde Park, where he grew up. He lived in Canton, MA for over 30 years.

Jim was big brother to his devoted sister Anne Marie Maher and her late husband Robert of Halifax MA, Richard and his wife Helen of Rockport TX, the late Jeannette Cassidy and her husband Joseph of Wrentham MA, Laura and her partner Jimmy Lee Brasher of West Palm Beach Fl, Chuck and his wife Kathy of Plymouth MA. He was admired and loved by all his nieces, nephews, cousins and loyal friends (Kevin, Sharon, Graham and Johnny). He leaves behind his beloved companion Suzanne Fagerberg of Canton MA.

Jim was a graduate of Suffolk University. He worked at Mass State Lottery, then the US Post Office for many years. Jim loved his golf and was a long-time member of Ponkapoag Golf Course in Canton, where he had many treasured friendships. Jim was a proud Vietnam Combat Veteran. He received the Army Commendation Medal for Heroism and other awards for his service in Vietnam. He was a life member of the 1st Cavalry Division Association and the 7th U.S Cavalry Association. Parkinson’s was Jim’s final battle. “Garyowen” brother Jim.
