Eileen Agnes Driscoll, of Newton, formerly of Brighton and Medfield, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2026, from Alzheimer's disease. She was 80 years old.

Born in Boston on September 15, 1946, she was the daughter of the late James and Agnes (Delaney) Driscoll. She was the beloved mother of Alanna Greaney of Dedham and Joseph Greaney of Dedham. Loving sister of John (Merrilyn) Driscoll of Toronto, Canada; James (Edna) Driscoll of Cape Coral, FL; and Maureen (Denis) Clifford of Stoughton. Eileen was predeceased by her brother Joseph (Judi) Driscoll of Walpole and her sister Joan Lynch and brother-in-law Thomas Lynch of Naples, FL. She was a dear cousin to Mary Twomey and her late husband, John, of Milton. She is also survived by numerous beloved nieces, grandnieces, nephews, grandnephews, godchildren, and cherished friends.

Eileen was a devoted mother, aunt, great-aunt, friend, teacher, and psychologist. She earned her bachelor's degree in history from Framingham State University and her master's degree in social work from Boston College. She began her career as a teacher, and after getting her master’s became a social worker with the Department of Child Welfare before serving as a counselor and psychologist in several Massachusetts school systems. She spent the final 15 years of her career at Memorial Elementary School in Natick, where she touched the lives of countless students, families, and colleagues.

Eileen found joy in the ocean, singing, dancing, Masterpiece Theatre, New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs, thrift and consignment shopping, cheeky jokes, and exceptional food. She had a remarkable ability to enjoy bowls of pasta, decadent cheeses, and dessert without ever gaining an ounce, much to the awe and envy of those who witnessed it. She never left the house without lipstick because, as she said, "You never know who you may run into."

After retiring, Eileen embraced life with energy and purpose. She traveled, volunteered with the Massachusetts Democratic Party, took up yoga, and lived as fully and independently as possible, into her diagnosis. We are comforted knowing that Eileen can be Eileen again.

Eileen's Funeral will be from the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home, 8 Spring St. (at the corner of Centre St) in West Roxbury on Friday, September 25, 2026 at 8 a.m. Eileen's Funeral Mass will be held at St. Susanna Parish in Dedham at 9:00 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Eileen's memory may be made to the Elizabeth M. Devlin Scholarship Fund for the Bank Street Family Center or to Hilarity for Charity, a nonprofit organization supporting families and caregivers affected by Alzheimer's disease.

Eileen will be laid to rest at at The Gardens at Gethsemane Cemetery in West Roxbury.

The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Adelaide of Newton and Brighton Hospice for the loving, compassionate, and dignified care they provided to Eileen. We will be forever grateful.
