Answers For Joe

Joe Galeota posted some questions about Cape Cod and said to "Lemme know" if anyone had answers. Here are few:

  • There USED to be rest areas with restrooms on Route 6 heading off the Cape. They were removed in the 1980's and '90s due to their being used as lovers lanes.

  • The answers to why the National Park Service offers fewer family activities and why there is no recycling service boils down to Trump's cutting their budget and firing lots of folks.

  • Route 6 in Eastham / Wellfleet has always been one lane (and is often congested). The bike lane, used by hundreds of people every day, was a welcome addition since the off-road Cape Cod Rail Trail ends in Wellfleet.

  • "Suicide Alley" lacks Jersey barriers to allow emergency vehicles access to both lanes, without having to travel miles out of their way to an opening in the concrete barriers.

Glad I could help!
